I have substantial experience of providing taxation and accounting services to a wide range of small businesses as well as providing taxation services to individuals. I studied Commerce and Accountancy at Birmingham University and obtained my honours degree, together with the prize for commerce, coming top in that year. I was admitted to membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1970. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in Birmingham and was a partner with Chantrey Vellacott DFK for 12 years before moving to Invergarry in 1991 and setting up my own practice at Glengarry Lodge.
In 1997 I passed the examinations of the Association of Taxation Technicians and was admitted to membership of the association. I am specifically registered with the Association of Taxation Technicians as a member in practice. This requires attendance at taxation updating courses to maintain the level of my taxation technical skills. |
